Dispersion Calculator

This program, written in MATLAB, can be used to calculate the group delay dispersion (GDD) introduced by a set of two prisms. In laser microscopy, short pulses of light are focused onto a specimen in order to create an image. However, the pulse is spread out in time when it pass through certain components; hence, it is necessary to include a dispersion compensation system. The distance required to achieve a certain compensation can be easily calculated, allowing for rapid resolution improvements.
